- ABOUT THE PROJECT
ABOUT RUN2CURE MELBOURNE
Run2Cure Melbourne is an annual charity fun run organised by Neuroblastoma Australia to raise funds for childhood cancer research.
The 2026 event takes place at Princes Park in Carlton, a new Melbourne venue for Run2Cure. The event offers several running and walking distances, including a half marathon, 10km and 5km options, plus the Little Heroes 1km walk.
Run2Cure brings together families, runners, supporters and the wider community around a shared cause: better outcomes for children affected by neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma Australia is a registered charity dedicated to funding research, supporting families and raising awareness of neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer.
Planet Hire’s involvement centres on the event’s operational infrastructure, with equipment allocated to temporary amenities, pedestrian control, ground access and site boundaries.
- EVENT HIRE EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED
The following equipment forms part of Planet Hire’s hire scope for Run2Cure Melbourne 2026.

Portable Toilets
Twenty portable toilets form part of the event's temporary sanitation facilities, providing additional toilet capacity for participants, attendees and event personnel at Princes Park.

Accessible Portable Toilets
One accessible portable toilet forms part of the equipment allocation to provide a dedicated accessible sanitation facility. Its location and access arrangements are important components of the event amenities plan.

Crowd Control Barriers
A total of 250 crowd control barriers provides equipment for temporary pedestrian boundaries, queue areas and designated event access routes, according to the approved site layout.

Track Mats
Twenty-five track mats form part of the ground access equipment allocation. Track mats provide temporary surface coverage for suitable areas where ground conditions or pedestrian access requirements call for additional support.

Event Temporary Fencing
Standard temporary fencing panels form part of the equipment allocation for defined site boundaries, operational areas and designated access restrictions. The final panel quantity remains subject to confirmation.

Concrete Block Weights
Four hundred 28kg concrete block weights form part of the event's temporary ballast equipment allocation. These blocks provide weight for compatible temporary structures and installations where the approved setup specifies concrete ballast.
